Susan Melsop

Susan Melsop recently joined the department's interior design faculty. Melsop received her bachelor's degree in architecture from Ohio State and her master's degree in architecture from the University of Illinois at Chicago. For nearly twenty years she has worked as an independent practicing architect in various locations in the U.S., Brazil, and Germany, focusing on the social and cultural dimensions of design. She has also taught in the Knowlton School of Architecture at Ohio State for the past ten years, teaching both design studio courses and graduate seminars on sacred architecture in Asia, and participated in two study tours for the OSU honors and scholars program.

Melsop's current areas of research and work include issues of sustainability and digital fabrication.
