Application
to the graduate program of the Department of Industrial,
Interior, and Visual Communication Design requires
a concurrent application to the Graduate School, and
the completion of two sets of documents. Both sets of
materials must be received before the Department of Industrial,
Interior, and Visual Communication Design can evaluate
the application.
1. University Application Forms: The
University requires that all applications be completed
online, with payment of the application fee by
credit card. If you are unable to complete the
application online, contact the [ Admissions

to make arrangements.

- TOEFL & GRE Scores (if necessary)

2. Department of Industrial, Interior,
and Visual Communication Design Application Forms: In
addition to the application requirements of the University
Graduate Admissions Office, the Department requires
the completion of its own admission package. This set
of materials should be returned directly to the Department
of Design. It includes:
- Design Development
[Application
Form] or
DAIM [Application
Form]
- Statement of Intent
- Resume
- 1 Official Copy of Transcripts from all schools attended
- Portfolio
- Three letters of reference (accompanied by the reference
forms downloaded from the [Graduate
Admissions] website)
Application materials must be submitted to both the
Graduate School and the Department before the review
of the applicant's materials can take place at the Department.
This review
is carried out by the Department Graduate Studies Committee
members. The applicant will be informed by mail of the
final decision of the Departmental Graduate Studies Committee
and the OSU Graduate School.
